FUTUREVISION

The Power of We

For the Women’s March, a friend and I decided we wanted to do more than march, and to bring a focus onto possibility, not problems. The initiative: a DIY FutureVision booth where marchers wrote their own “future visions” of hope and motivation and unity on a community wall, sparked by thoughtstarter visions and extended by bracelets they could write their visions on. Beautiful stories and tons of selfies later, we were humbled and heartened by our collective desire to believe in the beauty of what’s possible.

We had marchers write their future visions on index cards to be included on the community wall, and we passed out hundreds of bracelets representing the marchers’ own vision—or one of six key messages like Love for All and Unity Starts Now.

The result was more than moving—and so inspiring it extended beyond the march. Up next: 3D-printed bracelets from the new FutureVision studio that connect this same spirit of activism to co-created style, with bold geometric designs representing unity and the unbroken bonds of believing in what’s possible.
